Well, i completed week 1 - and did good! I weighed myself everyday; which i know i shouldn't - but i do it anyways. It dropped pretty good - and than of course - official weigh in day - it increased. ( know why though - and i will learn from it)
Yesterday afternoon i had to take my mom to the ER and sat there for over 5 hours. She was diagnosed with Pneumonia and a sinus infection. After she was released - we all went out to dinner to Beef O'Bradys. I had a Reuban Sandwich - and probably should have had a salad - considering it was 8:30pm.
Anyways...I lost 5lbs this week. I've also come to realize that no matter how many pounds i lose that each pound counts toward my goal of getting healthier.
While sitting in the ER last night - a car pulled up front and some parmedics ran outside. I witnessed 3-4 people trying to get this male person out of the car. They finally got him out and onto a stretcher and rushed him inside and into the back. About ten minutes later - we hear "Code Blue". He was having a heart attack and stopped breathing. They resuscitated him and stabilized him. Came to find out - the lady that was with him was his mom. He was a young boy that was maybe in his twenties and had to weigh 550-600 lbs.
Seeing something like that happen - is a big eye opener. It's one thing to see it on tv but another to see it in person. I will never allow myself to get that way.
I am even more motivated to keep after my goals and regain my health and happiness.
Thanks for listening!
